Your Role: Laboratory Technician

As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our products meet AB InBev’s highest quality standards. You will conduct quality checks, analyze raw materials, and support production to ensure consistency and excellence in every batch.


Key Responsibilities:

🔬 Specialist Analysis
✔ Perform specialized and high-level quality analyses
✔ Record and communicate results accurately
✔ Conduct data-driven problem-solving and improvements
✔ Calibrate lab equipment and operate the weighbridge for malt dispatch

📋 Quality Auditing
✔ Conduct audits, ensuring compliance with global quality standards
✔ Identify training needs and provide feedback to teams
✔ Ensure accurate calibration and adherence to analytical procedures

🛠 Problem-Solving & Process Control
✔ Assist production teams with troubleshooting and quality improvements
✔ Ensure samples are collected, prepared, and analyzed correctly
✔ Monitor and report non-conformances, ensuring corrective actions are taken

🎓 Training & Development
✔ Support training initiatives for production teams
✔ Mentor colleagues on quality analyses and best practices

🏭 Lab Equipment & Safety Compliance
✔ Maintain and calibrate equipment according to protocols
✔ Ensure safe handling and disposal of chemicals and hazardous substances
✔ Adhere to safety guidelines, PPE policies, and housekeeping standards


What We’re Looking For:

Education:
🎓 National Diploma in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Food Science or equivalent
🎓 Bachelor’s in Tech Chemistry (preferred)

Experience:
🔹 1-3 years working in a laboratory setting
🔹 Strong understanding of process control within a malting environment
🔹 Familiarity with VPO (Voyager Plant Optimization) principles
