This role involves safely and efficiently loading, unloading, and stacking materials while ensuring adherence to governance and customer service standards.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Accurately account for stock received from breweries.
  • Adhere to safe offloading practices in line with DPO Safety guidelines.
  • Ensure correct loading of stock based on customer orders to guarantee satisfaction.
  • Comply with road traffic laws and internal measures, such as conducting pre-trip inspections.
  • Minimize risks by maintaining a strong focus on safety.
  • Verify that no substandard or out-of-specification stock is loaded or delivered to customers.
  • Operate forklifts safely and ensure proper handling practices are followed.
  • Allow only licensed individuals to operate forklifts.
  • Ensure mandatory PPE is worn to prevent injuries.
  • Comply with the Department of Labour stacking exemptions.
  • Uphold world-class housekeeping standards to maximize productivity.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the DC Warehouse to protect product quality.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Effective under pressure with strong verbal and communication abilities.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
  • Adaptable to change with a proactive approach.
  • Good numerical skills and attention to detail.

Minimum Requirements

  • Certificate in Logistics.
  • Valid forklift driver’s license.
  • Experience operating a double handler.
  • Computer literacy is essential.
  • SAP knowledge is a plus.
