This role is crucial in providing laboratory support across the value chain by performing checks and analyses on raw materials and processes to ensure the production of beer meets AB InBev’s quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management

  • Meet and exceed Quality KPIs.
  • Prevent non-compliance with quality standards.
  • Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure site-wide adherence to quality performance standards.

Housekeeping and Equipment Maintenance

  • Uphold 5S and housekeeping standards.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment regularly.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy working environment.

Sample Analysis and Compliance

  • Prepare and analyze samples in compliance with manualized methods.
  • Maintain sample integrity through proper identification, verification, and handling.
  • Generate and report accurate results within specified timelines.
  • Identify and address non-conformances following set procedures.

Specialized Analysis

  • Conduct specialized quality analyses as needed.
  • Record, analyze, and communicate results to relevant teams.
  • Assist in plant quality analysis execution when required.

Auditing and Problem Solving

  • Perform quality audits, document results, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support production teams in problem-solving with specialized techniques.
  • Coach and mentor teams in analytical and problem-solving practices.

Training and Continuous Improvement

  • Train production teams on quality analysis techniques.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by performing specialized evaluations.
  • Contribute to regional and divisional process optimization projects.

Team Collaboration

  • Foster effective workplace communication.
  • Contribute to personal and team development.

Minimum Requirements

  • National Diploma in Chemistry, Food Science, or Biotechnology (minimum).
  • B Tech in Chemistry or equivalent qualification (advantageous).
  • 2–3 years of laboratory experience, with an understanding of process control in the malting environment (preferred).
  • Familiarity with VPO principles and practices is a plus.
