As an Assistant Relationship Manager – Commercial Banking, you will be at the forefront of managing and nurturing corporate client relationships. You will focus on client acquisition, retention, and revenue growth through the bank’s diverse portfolio of asset, liability, trade finance, and cash management products.
Key Purpose of the Role
- Build and manage robust relationships with midsize corporate clients to establish Exim Bank as a trusted partner.
- Deliver top-tier customer service and advisory support while driving income generation from key financial products.
- Strengthen the bank’s reputation in the corporate banking sector.
Key Responsibilities
Client Acquisition and Management
- Develop and manage a portfolio of competitively priced assets and liabilities with reputable companies to maximize profitability.
- Identify new business opportunities and aggressively target high-value clients in identified sectors.
- Cultivate strong relationships through regular client interactions and visits, maintaining an effective call program for assigned and prospective customers.
Revenue Growth
- Generate revenue by offering customized solutions that meet client needs, including fee-based income and CASA.
- Leverage cross-selling opportunities to integrate the bank’s products and services seamlessly into client operations.
Customer Experience
- Ensure delivery of exceptional service to provide a superior onboarding experience and ongoing support.
- Strive to maintain high standards of professionalism while offering quality services and competitive pricing.
Compliance and Governance
- Ensure strict adherence to Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies in all client dealings.
Team Collaboration and Mentorship
- Mentor and support junior team members to foster growth and development within the department.
Other Responsibilities
- Undertake additional duties as assigned to contribute to the team’s success.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong relationship management skills with a proven ability to build rapport with corporate clients.
- A deep understanding of banking products, including assets, liabilities, trade finance, and cash management.

- Demonstrated ability to identify and act on cross-selling opportunities.
- Compliance-focused with a thorough knowledge of KYC and AML regulations.
