Role Overview:

The Supply Chain Controller will be crucial in Imagine Worldwide's mission to scale tablet-based learning solutions globally. The successful candidate will manage demand and supply planning, stock oversight, production scheduling, and supplier management for countries like Malawi, Tanzania, and Sierra Leone. The role involves working with global suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of products such as tablets, solar panels, lithium batteries, and more. The controller will also work closely with logistics managers to ensure smooth customs clearance and stock management in various countries.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Demand and Supply Planning

    • Collaborate with Country Directors and the Head of Portfolio to forecast yearly demand.
    • Establish reorder plans and timelines to ensure smooth stock turnover.
    • Work with the Director of Supply Chain and Co-CEOs to analyze and approve procurement plans.
  2. Production Management

    • Request quotations and prepare purchase orders.
    • Coordinate with suppliers to meet production timelines and ensure quality control.
    • Work with finance to manage payment schedules and reconciliations.
  3. Shipping and Logistics

    • Schedule shipments with forwarders, ensuring timely customs clearance.
    • Communicate with suppliers and logistics managers to ensure all shipping documents are in order.
  4. Inventory Management

    • Manage inventory with suppliers and develop product codes for new items.
    • Monitor stock turnover and suggest alternative uses for slow-moving stock.
    • Provide quarterly reports on stock loss, supplier performance, and lead times.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain and Procurement; CIPS certification is preferred.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years in production, demand, and supply planning.
    • At least 3 years of experience using ERP systems.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
    • Experience in leading Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) for multinational organizations.
  • Skills:

    • Strong project management, analytical, and numerical skills.
    • Experience managing global suppliers.
    • Ability to work effectively in multicultural teams and handle multiple-site projects.
    • Familiarity with iOS, Android, and Mac OS systems is a plus.
