The Southern African Development Community (SADC) is offering a range of job vacancies for qualified Tanzanians. These full-time positions are aimed at enhancing SADC's capacities in policy planning, finance, and security threat analysis, contributing to regional development and cooperation.

Available Positions:

  1. Director – Policy Planning and Resources Mobilisation (Job Grade 2)
    This leadership role requires overseeing policy development, strategic planning, and mobilizing resources for SADC initiatives.

  2. Director of Finance (Job Grade 2)
    The Director of Finance will manage SADC's financial operations, ensuring transparency, accountability, and adherence to financial policies.

  3. Reviser – Portuguese (Job Grade 5)
    This position involves revising and translating documents from English into Portuguese, ensuring linguistic accuracy for SADC member states.

  4. Analyst – Political and Security Threats – State Security (Regional Early Warning) (Job Grade 6)
    The analyst will focus on assessing political and security threats in the region, providing timely and accurate analysis for early warning systems.

Eligibility:

  • Age Requirement: Applicants must be 52 years old or younger, to ensure they can serve a reasonable period before reaching the retirement age of 60.
  • Member States Eligibility:
    • Positions 3 and 4 are open to nationals from Angola, Botswana, DRC, Eswatini, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
    • The Director positions are limited to applicants from Angola, Namibia, Seychelles, Tanzania, and Zambia, due to representation policies and quota points.
