Job Overview:

As a Process Control Engineer, you will report to the Manufacturing Systems Manager and play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and smooth operation of Control and Automation (C&A) systems within the plant. 

Your primary responsibilities include designing, coordinating, and implementing new process control systems while adhering to global standards. You will also be responsible for proactive risk assessments, disaster recovery procedures, and optimization of plant processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Governance & Standards: Implement and maintain C&A systems according to global and regional technical standards. You’ll ensure new technologies are appropriately integrated and advise the plant on best practices.

Maintenance & Support: Handle escalated issues related to control and automation, ensuring system uptime and efficiency. Collaborate with vendors and lead after-action reviews to prevent future breakdowns.

Continuity & Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure data backups are secure and restorable. In case of unforeseen events, you will execute disaster recovery protocols.

Project Leadership: Lead automation-related projects, from scoping to commissioning, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality improvements in the process.

Optimization: Support the plant's process optimization efforts, driving improvements in cost, quality, and speed by analyzing and resolving operational issues.

Skills and Attributes Required:

  • Strong understanding of process control systems, industrial control, and automation.
  • Hands-on experience in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or beverage production environment.
  • Proven leadership in project management, risk mitigation, and system design.
  • Technical proficiency with manufacturing systems such as PLC networks, SQL, SCCM, and anti-virus applications.
  • Effective communication and training skills to support plant staff and ensure compliance with established standards.

Qualifications:

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronic Engineering, or Computer Science.
  2. At least 3 years of experience in industrial control and automation or completion of technical traineeship in control and automation.
