Their current project in Tanzania, Pamoja Tuwalishe, focuses on improving education through a school meals program funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The project is set to boost student literacy, attendance, and health, positively impacting the future of Tanzania's youth.


What’s the Role?

  • As the Procurement Manager, you'll handle all procurement activities for the Tanzania country office, ensuring that every purchase is compliant with Global Communities’ standards and U.S. Government regulations. You'll be responsible for:
  • Strategic Procurement: Leading procurement for high-value contracts, providing advice on risk management, and supporting the finance team.
  • Supplier Management: Ensuring suppliers meet Global Communities' standards, conducting due diligence, and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
  • Training and Coordination: Coordinating procurement priorities and training staff on best practices in procurement and compliance.


Key Qualifications

To be considered, you’ll need:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (a Master’s is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of procurement regulations, especially with U.S. Government-funded projects.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and IT skills.
